Zunch CEO Elected to SEMPO Board

Search Engine Optimization Group Taps Zunch Founder

Dallas, TX. (February 28, 2005) – The Chairman and CEO of Zunch Communications, Inc., John Sanchez, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization), a worldwide consortium of Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization professionals dedicated to creating awareness for Search Engine Marketing.

Of the 13 new board members elected, Sanchez is the only representative from Texas or the southwest region.

“It is of course an honor to be elected, and I hope to be able to achieve some long-sought goals for the organization,” said Sanchez.

Among those goals is Sanchez’ plan to reach out to traditional advertising agencies in an attempt to foster what should be a mutually beneficial relationship.

“From what we’ve seen,” said Sanchez, “traditional advertising agencies and search engine marketers have not been working together, and this should not be the case. There should be room for both sides to work together and still make money – and SEMPO should be a leading advocate of reaching out to the leading agencies, making sure they know how to serve their clients search engine marketing needs.”
